Fantasy is the second perfume to come out under the Britney Spears name (which in-turn as I’m sure you already know comes out under the Elizabeth Arden brand). Britney Spears Curious was the last one, which sold an unfathomable amount of bottles in the first year. This perfume was created by perfumer Jim Krivda, and is composed of kiwi, golden quince, red lychee, cupcake accord, white chocolate orchid, jasmine, woods, musk, and orris root. Supposedly attempting to capitalize and represent Britneys new-found grown girl status, Britney Fantasy is supposed to be seductive and elusive fragrance. It kicks off with rather tart fruits, which is encouraging, but this is obviously doomed not to last and so sooner have you made a mental comment to yourself aboiut the uncharacteristic tartness it just morphs into a sugar-fest. Sweet fruits, that ridiculous cupcake accord. It does tome itself down towards the end as the perfume well and trully dries down on your skin and transforms into a creamier affair with musky woods and little dabs of vanilla and chocolate here and there. Like the rest in the line of Britney scents this is not very complicated and far too sweet to be a grown woman’s perfume of choice. It has taken a step in the right direction since curious, no-doubt, but not far and fast enough
