Versense is the light and breezy Versace masterpiece developed by famous perfumer Alberto Morillas. Morillas is an expert at crafting complex, yet light fragrances and that is exactly what Versense is. Versense is all about the citrus in the head notes. These are then brilliantly paired with fresh green notes that soften the sharpness of the citrus and water it down somewhat. It is this watery dry-down that gives the fragrance its fresh character as it begins to move on into the middle notes. The middle is predominantly floral, with traces of the fruits and greens that made an appearance in the opening. These florals then move on to lovely warm musky woods. Warmth is provided by the note of cardamom that comes in just before the close and spices up the last phases of this fragrance as your own natural skin scents begin to emerge. Versense is just what it was intended as, fresh but not simple, and also tremendously versatile as a result. It is by no means a spectacular composition, no fireworks are to be had here, or bells and whistles, but it does do one thing extremely well and that is why I am o fond of it; it manages to keep a sense of freshness at its very core and as a result is a fragrance that can be worn on all occasions, night and day, by any person, no-matter the season. This is why it is such a success in my opinion
